Parenting as a privilege
Parenting is a great privilege, first and for all
and a great opportunity.
For not everybody has had the opportunity to have children.
Some are praying and fasting for children
and going through several treatments,
to have the joy of having children
Parenting as an honor
Secondly, It is an honor to have children
for children are a heritage from the Lord.
The Lord just blesses us with them,
not because of our goodness,
But because He is that generous.
He is that good.
He also wants us to experience what it is, to parent
and love unconditionally.
Also, impart knowledge and wisdom
Children in the nest
Thirdly, as we parent
children develop and grow, and mature.
They see how their parents are relating.
Plus how their parents behave in crisis
As they grow they carry lessons we taught them
by word or actions
Each day they are in the nest, is precious
because the parents will be impacting them.
Lessons from the passing of my mother
My mother passed on when I was 12
I watched her sick unto death
and felt powerless.
Also wished I could do something for her to live long
She wished she would live for my sake.
That was not possible:
that’s why I don’t take parenting for granted.
In times of challenges or achievement, I wish my mom was around.
As a result, I have also learned to empathize with children with no mothers
It is a great honor and privilege to be alive,
and be able to be there for your children
Blessing our children
God has truly blessed us, parents.
Never allow the enemy to see your children as a burden
for you will end up speaking to your children out of anger
Or complain about raising children
raising children may be tough at(especially if they are misbehaving) but God knows it all
Don’t compare your children to those next door
Pray for your children
Speak God’s word over them
Declare they are the head, not the tail
declare goodness and mercy shall follow them
blessed going in and blessed going out
that a lot of people shall be blessed ’cause of them
Speak life, not death.
‘They grow so fast,’ somebody said
Our own babies are now in their twenties
yet my husband and I revisit memories:
the things they used to do,
and say when they were babies
Now they work
go to school
scheduling time together isn’t easy.
They will always be our babies:
we continue to cherish,
love and encourage them.
Speak blessings upon their lives.
Blessing not cursing http://superiordomain.net/pleasant-words-like-honey/
In conclusion: Love and enjoy them babies,
for they are special.
Spend time with them
be there for them at their age
Continuing to know:
God has privileged us,
to give us children
