Blessed
Blessed you are, America. For It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35
America you are great. Plus you are a great and gracious nation.
Leaving our birth country, Zimbabwe, some 15 years ago.
Knowing a few people, in the destination nation, The United States of America.
Just following our instincts, but also unsure. Plus leaving the life that we knew, and moving towards the unknown.
Unknown, but heard about.
Unknown, but read about.
Excitement, mixed with concern, and anticipation.
Also mixed with the how, when, and what?
Discoveries in the blessed nation
When we got to America, we had lots of discoveries especially Cultural shock :).
In addition, weather shock
In Zimbabwe, there is no snow
For me especially, that ‘messed me up’
We had to acquire the taste of the local food
Through it all the Lord has been good to us as a family.
America, God made you great.
He made you great, for a reason.
Blessed to bless
Indeed you have the blessings from the Lord, and you are a great blessing.
Because, It is more blessed to give than to receive. The Bible also says, Give and it shall be given unto you. A good measure, shaken together, shall give unto you. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38 You give, and give, and give again. Also embracing foreigners. You attend to other nations’ needs. You are NOT self – absorbed.
May the Lord bless you with more wisdom. And more peace. May you increase in capacity to minister to others. For God has good plans for you, to give you a future and a hope. You were raised for a time as this. May your eyes be more cognizant of who you are and what you can do. You are a giant.
Happy 4th of July! Happy Independence!
And may The Good Lord, continue to bless you Abundantly!
