First of all, I am going to explain, that the God of the Bible, is the only One, True God. The One God, who manifests Himself in three.God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
(The Tripartite God) The three are one, yet have different functions/administrations, if I may say, for lack of better words.
This is such a mystery. And mysteries of God can only be fully explained by the Spirit( The Holy Spirit) of The One True God
So much that my vocabulary fails to do justice. For this is a great and awesome God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Creator of ALL things, as I will explain below.
In addition, how can I, His creation manage to fully explain my Creator? My understanding of Him is by believing in His Word. Believing that He exists, and depends on the Holy Spirit(who is the Spirit of Truth) to understand. This belief happens in the spirit/spiritual heart and not the mind.
The One True God, was there from the beginning
1. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
2. And the earth was without form, and void; darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
God (The Father), created the heavens and earth. And the Holy Spirit/The Spirit of God was moving on the face of the waters. The Bible here tells us of God(The Father) and His Spirit.
Verses 3-24 God starts creating by speaking things into existence. and The Holy Spirit giving power to the Words of God the Father. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of life.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good. He divided the light from the darkness.
5. Then God called the light day. And He called the darkness night. There was evening and there was morning, the first day.
6. Then God said, “Let there be an open space between the waters. Let it divide waters from waters.”
7. God made the open space and divided the waters under the open space from the waters above the open space. And it was so.
8. Then God called the open space Heaven. There was evening and there was morning, the second day.
9. Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens gather into one place. Dryland, come out” And it was so.
10. Then God called the dry land Earth. He called the gathering of the waters Seas. And God saw that it was good.
11. Then God said, “Let plants grow from the earth, plants that have seeds. Let fruit trees grow on the earth that bring their kind of fruit with their own seeds.” And it was so.
Fruits and vegetables and plants by The One True God.
12. Plants grew out of the earth, giving their own kind of seeds. Trees grew with their fruit and their kind of seeds. And God saw that it was good.
13 There was evening and there was morning, the third day.
14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the open space of the heavens to divide the day from night. Let them tell the days and years and times of the year.
15 Let them be lights in the open space of the heavens to give light on the earth.” And it was so.
16 Then God made the two great lights: the brighter light to rule the day. And the smaller light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
17 God put them in the open space of the heavens to give light on the earth,
18 to rule the day and the night. He divided the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19 There was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.
20 Then God said, “Let the waters be full of living things. Let birds fly above the earth in the open space of the heavens.”
21 God made the big animals that live in the sea. And every living thing that moves through the waters by its kind. Every winged bird after its kind. And God saw that it was good.
22 God wanted good to come to them, saying, “Give birth to many. Grow in number. Fill the waters in the seas. Let birds grow in number on the earth.”
23 There was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.
24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring into being living things after their kind. Cattle and things that move upon the ground. And wild animals of the earth after their kind.” And it was so.
One True God on- on day 6: Boom, this is us
26 Then God said, “Let us make humanity in our likeness to resemble us. So that they may take charge of the fish of the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock. All the earth, and all the crawling things on earth.”
Here God is addressing somebody. We want to get into Who was He addressing. We already know about God and His Spirit. And how did He create humanity? Let us move right on...
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground. And breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.
The man formed /created from the dust, and God breathed into him, the man became a living soul. Mankind is the image and likeness of God, for they are a spirit. The first man became alive after God-breathed in them. All of us are God’s image, for we get our spirit from God.http://superiordomain.net/earth/
The one and true God was from the beginning.
In the beginning, was the Word,
the Word was with God,
the Word was God John 1:1
We can confidently say:
- The Word was from the beginning
- The Word that was with God
- was The Word God
One True God was God in the beginning
He was God, at the beginning, John 1:2
Without Him was anything created, so God created everything. John 1:3
The Word/God became flesh and lived among us. And this is Jesus.God the son.
- This same Word that was in the beginning
- Was with God
- Was God
- Created all things
- became flesh/Jesus.
- Therefore Jesus is The Word of God.
- He was from the beginning. Jesus is God.
Before Jesus Christ came to earth, He was in the Spiritual realm with the father. The following are Jesus’ words towards the end of His earthly life.
John 17:5 ” And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” King James Version. Jesus is the Living Word, that came from heaven. And He came and lived as humanity on earth. When God the father was creating, He was using Words. And Jesus is the Word of God. That’s why the Bible says, He(Jesus) created ALL things.
“And this is eternal life, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3 King James Version.
One True God -three dimensions but one/The Trinity
God the Father, Son/Jesus and the Holy Spirit/The Spirit of God
This is difficult to fathom with our human minds but by our hearts. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one. For there are three that bear record in heaven. The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit( 1 John 5:7) One God with three dimensions/personalities/functions for lack of better words.
You and I are three parts: the spirit, the soul(mind, will & emotions) and body. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 May God Himself the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. All three aspects are you. When the spirit lives out somebody’s body, that’s when we say they are dead. In all essence, who can fully explain /describe God? Except for God Himself, and He has done it through the Bible.
New International Version Psalm 104:5-30. This explains the inter-dependent of God’s creation. How He did not leave anything to chance. People sometimes worship these very things, which are creations also, which is an error. These Scriptures also explain how things came into existence.
One True God as the Creator
5 He set the earth on its foundations, and it’s immovable.6 You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.7 But at your rebuke the waters fled, at the sound of your thunder they took to flight;8 they flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them.9 You set a boundary they cannot cross; never again will they cover the earth.
11 They give water to all the beasts of the field;
the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12 Birds of the sky nest by the waters;
they sing among the branches.
13 He waters the mountains from his upper chambers;
the fruit of His satisfies the land.
14 He makes grass grow for the cattle,
and plants for people to cultivate—
bringing forth food from the earth:
15 wine that gladdens human hearts,
16 The trees of the Lord are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
17 There the birds make their nests; the stork has its home in the junipers. 18 The high mountains belong to the wild goats; the crags/rocks are a refuge for the conies
One, True God. Planned things so there wouldn’t be chaos
19 He made the moon to mark the seasons,
and the sun knows when to go down.
20 You bring darkness, it becomes night,
and all the beasts of the forest prowl.
21 Lions roar for their prey
and seek their food from God.
22 The sun rises, and they steal away;
they return and lie down in their dens.
23 Then people go out to their work,
to their labor until evening
24 How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.
25 There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number.— living things both large and small.
26 There the ships go to and fro. And Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.
All Creatures rely on God
27 All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time.
28 When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they get satisfaction from good things.
29 When you hide your face, they get in terror. when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.
30 When you send your Spirit, they get life.
And you renew the face of the ground.
God is not happy when people worship other gods(idols)
Note: small g. which means there are several idols that people call gods, but there is one true God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Creator of the heavens and earth.
Exodus 20:2 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt.Out of the house of slavery.
3. You shall have no other gods besides me.
The Canaanites worshiped other gods. Since the Israelites were going to Canaan, God was warning them beforehand.
Jesus also emphasized the One, True God.
John 14:5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth and the life.No one comes to the Father except through me.”
God Creator of All things, our origin and Sustainor of life
Acts 17:24 The God who made the world and everything in it. Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.
25 And He does not need human hands to serve him. As if he needs anything. Rather, He gives everyone life. And breath to everything.
26 From one man He made all the nations. That they should inhabit the earth. He marked out their appointed times. In history and the boundaries of their lands.
God inhabits human bodies. We are the temples of the Holy Ghost.1 Corinthians 15-20
The writer is illustrating how important the body of a person is. The person that received Jesus. The Holy Spirits inhabits them. Because Jesus has died for the sins of humanity. God now considers the human body His house. That’s how important a human being is. And much more a believer is.
27 God did this so that they would seek Him. And perhaps reach out to Him. And find Him, though He is not far from any one of us. 28‘ For in Him we move, live and have our being. ‘As some of your own poets said, ‘We are His offspring.’
Philosophers agreeing with the Scriptures about God.
Cretan Philosopher Epimenides,
‘In Him, we live move and have our being.’
He knew God is the one Who sustains Peoples’ lives.
Stoic philosopher Aratus, ‘We are His offspring.’
He knew God created us.
12.From one man Adam, The One True God made all the nations
The belief in God is of faith. That is believing in God or having faith in God. It is not of mental assent, for you cannot understand God by your mind. You understand God by your spirit. For God is a Spirit, John 4:24. In Hebrews 11:1 believing is the title-deed of things hoped for, therefore it is the assurance of things not seen.
In Conclusion; Evidence that One, True God?
Hebrews 11:6: And without faith/believing it is impossible to believe God. Anybody who comes to God must believe that He exists. He must believe that He rewards those that diligently seek Him.
Abraham believed God and God said that was Righteousness/Galatians 3:6. God declared Abraham righteous due to his belief in God. Belief in what God had said.
Yes, we can see the works of the One, true God. His creation and speculation that somebody must have done it. Yet God says, it is faith that pleases Him. The belief that God exists. Consequently, Him rewarding those that diligently seek Him. That belief happens in your spirit/your spiritual heart. Our mind has their own minds, if I may say. But when you train your mind, it will line up with your faith. You will have to constantly attune your mind to your heart.
Evidence that He is the One,True God
Scripture explains fully well this One, True God. He created everything there is, therefore, He is the God of the universe.
Somebody sang some years ago saying, my mind cannot explain to you, but my mouth will sing.
My mouth cannot describe you, but my heart will sing. He said that since his mind has limitations. It has limitations to what it can fathom. And his vocabulary is of limitation also. Since he cannot fully comprehend God by his natural faculties.
It has always been of belief/faith and continues in that fashion. By faith, and in faith, also through faith.
God wants us to Worship Him. And how do we begin the journey? http://superiordomain.net/receive-salvation/
After beginning the journey the One, true God desires for you to continue into maturity spiritually. But first, you need assurance. Of the journey you have started.. http://superiordomain.net/assurance-salvation/ You need to also want the sincere milk of the Word of God. So that you will grow by. The Word is life.
