bride of Christ
She is the Church
Therefore, She is the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:27
He gave Himself for her,
and died for her
As a result, She came out of His struggle and agony.
For the joy that was set before Him,
He, therefore, endured the cross
because He knew believers(the church)
would be the by-products.
Those who would believe in His name,
And accept His salvation.
What does He do for the Body?
He loved her/the Church to death. Ephesians 5:25
He purifies her, by the Word.
thereby preparing her, for Himself.
As a glorious Church.
With no spot,
One without blemish. Ephesians 5:25-27
Relationship between Him and the Body
He is the head of the Church
and she is His body
He decides whilst they follow
leads and they follow
He is the Word of God,
therefore the Church follows the Word.
As they follow the word,
the Word cleanses them.
It purifies them( washing of water by the Word)
It prepares them for the coming of the Lord,
as a bride prepares for the big day/the wedding day.
The Word connects the Church to Jesus Christ:
as a means of communication and oneness.
He is the head of the Church, cooperatively,
and as individual members of His body,
Of His flesh, of His bones.
Same as Adam said, woman came out of man:
Therefore, she shall be called woman.
He called her bone of his bone,
the flesh of his flesh
Individually the Church one spirit with Christ
One spirit, with Him:1 Corinthians 6:17
Resulting in one person:
not only bone of His bone, flesh of His flesh,
But also spiritually,
One individual spiritually.
Jesus in Me
I in Him
As the Church of Jesus Christ:
One body.one Lord, one Spirit
This is a mystery,
One that can only be understood by faith
The mind cannot comprehend it.
His body, His bride
He loves her much because
she is Jesus’ inheritance from His father.
He Guards her
Purifies her by His Word
He protects her.
Whoever touches her, touches Him.
Touches the apple of His eye.
Saul of Damascus did it,
resulting in a scary experience, which resulted in his convention.
“Saul, Saul, Why do you persecute me” Acts 9:4
What does that mean for you, and me
I said yes to the Lord, by accepting Him in my life
Therefore I am now part of the body of Christ
I am now part of the bride of Christ
I belong to a group of individuals who are determined:
to be clean, set free, and be empowered by the grace of God.
You can also say yes to Him
and be part of His Church
