I haven’t known

I haven’t known  guarding is what they do

They guard their emotions like a would

Indeed it’s an emotional wound

They think someone will reopen it

Also they do take time worrying about what could be

Hence end up lonely.

guarding
lonely, thinking what could become

guarding
Guarding

Guarding is what they do

Some don’t want to mingle at all

Some do but they are so care-full

I haven’t known

that I can’t do it all

I can’t make it good for everybody

be there for everybody

and their cheer leader.

I don’t decide their joy and happiness

People make their own choices

They hurt, so they carry a chip on their shoulders

were hurt, so they are guarding

are guarding, so they don’t have friends

They don’t have friends, & they say nobody loves them

Do believe nobody loves them, so they won’t let nobody in

Ultimately they are very lonely

Truly I haven’t known

My Guarding

They do have their issues and I do I have mine

They have hurt me before and I have to be careful otherwise I will remain in bondage.

What happened, has already happened, we have to move forward

Forward in forgiveness

Let bitterness crumble

mistrust go to the dump

I have been hurt by close people

And have cried fowl

plus meditate on it

sprinkled   some self pity

Plus a dessert of why me

My discovery

Betrayal is a part of life

Joseph was betrayed by his brothers

Potiphar’s  wife lied about him

Jacob was betrayed by Laban

The Lord Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples.

Come to think of it, if it happened to the Lord, He was  showing me how life can be

My betrayal brought me closer to the Lord

to the Throne of Grace in time of need

I have learned to rely on the Lord

Knowing He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

I learned also that I should not put my trust in man,

but I can trust them. What’s the difference?

It’s not healthy for us to be sniffing people around.

We can trust them, any healthy relationship should have trust,

but we put our trust in God.

Remedy after betrayal:

Forgive-this is a word that’s being thrown around a lot.

As if it’s not of importance but we need to learn to cut people some slack,

otherwise the sting of what they did will catch us with us.

Forgiveness is a choice, not a feeling.

Is it easy? No

Yet God requires us to forgive, just like he forgives

There is life in forgives.

There is wisdom in learning from our mistakes and experiences but not allowing them to cage us.

I have learned that the more I forgive, the more I grow spiritually

   Prayer:

Lord by your grace, grant me the ability and desire to forgive others, as you have forgiven me

Help me not to move around with a chip on my shoulder as if the world owes me.

Help me to  empathize  with those that have wounded me emotionally.

Baptize  me with your love

Your love that is unconditional.

In Jesus’ name, I pray

Amen!
