Colorful and ravenous:
thereby capturing matter.
so gravity winning ferociously.
and minute matter
of all sorts of colors.
unwillingly, sliding and undulating
as a hostage in the hands of their captor.
Colorful and ravenous
yes, the water is colorful.
yet, hungry for effectiveness.
therefore, don’t undermine its effect.
it’s beautiful yet powerful.
’cause as it moves down the stream,
it carries fertile soil.
sand, stones, also debris, sticks
and anything that it can carry.
Talk of soil erosion:
fertile soil diminishing.
it’s nutrients being wasted away.
wouldn’t like this!
The fish ain’t happy either.
they are in deep confusion
since the waters are polluted.
thereby filled with contaminants.
their home is invaded mercilessly.
hence they feel uncomfortable.
suffocated ’cause there is no air to breath
Who else ain’t happy
the fishermen shake their heads in disbelief
since their livelihood is at stake.
Somebody else ain’t happy.
the fishermen’s customers.
’cause of the water pollution.
resultantly, the fishermen ain’t catching.
The consumers ain’t happy either
cause the market doesn’t have much
of the delicacy, they are used to enjoy
’cause of its scarcity
prices have gone up.
In high school, I learned about these issues
even went for field trips
yet, it still felt unreal
and pollution are detrimental.
even to the human race?
Now, that I’m older
I see it
hence I get it
Human beings are stewards of the earth. The heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth He has given to humanity
the land, the air, and the sees.
We do what’s humanly possible.
eventually, they will get it.
In turn they pass on the knowledge
I do get it now,
and I keep on learning.
and God does the rest.
it seems several groups ain’t happy.
what a chain of events?
one thing leading to another.
Because of this.
Consequently, this happened.
Therefore this had to happen
Wherefore we have to act like this
Since we cannot afford this delicacy
thereby resorting to option B
What an interdependence!
